You need to find your OWN purpose. I cannot BUILD desire.
Jillian (Biggest Loser)
There has been a few days gap in posting here and that is a first. Hopefully it won’t happen again. My mother’s lung cancer is getting worse and taking more of my time. I’m still losing and look forward to my next summary. Now on to the blog.
I have a fried that I play poker with who is well over four hundred pounds. He wanted to be on The Biggest Loser very badly. So badly that he actually told me he wanted to gain weight to help his chances. Whenever we play poker he drinks an entire two liter bottle of Mountain Dew. I feel bad for him as he’s a really nice guy but the weight is going to kill him. I suppose that when it is time he will do something about it. I hope it’s not too late.
Now, on to The Biggest Loser.
I’ve never watched the show so I put on Hulu and started the first season. Essentially a group of fat people go up against each other in weight loss. Since half were men and half women it seemed unfair since men lose weight faster than women. Hmmm.
The first week one of the guys lost 22 pounds!!! Others lost in the teens. It was obviously a lot of water but what the heck, weight is weight. The next week the guy who lost 22 pounds gained two and he is depressed and everyone is disappointed in him. Hellooooo! He still lost 19 pounds in two weeks.
Others lost weight in their teens and when one of the bigger guys lost 17 pounds and the leader of the group said how disappointed he was. “I though he’d lose more.” he said.
I was unable to watch most of it. I found it so offensive. People were judged just on how much they lost. It wasn’t until they were down to the final group that they started using percentage of weight. At least that made sense.
I couldn’t stand Jillian and only a little less the other trainer. I didn’t like anyone on the show and found the entire concept offensive. The winner lost an astonishing amount of weight but has since gained it all back. One season of skimmed through watching was all that I could handle. As far as reality shows go I’d rather watch Hillbilly Hand Fishin’.
